وجاء الاجتماع من أجل استكمال الجهود والمبادرات السابقة التي تستهدف تحقيق المصالحة الوطنية في الصومال، والحفاظ على استقلاله ووحدته الترابية وسلامته الإقليمية، وعودته إلى الحظيرة الدولية، وعلى نحو خاص مبادرة جيبوتي السلمية وجهود اليمن، وتأكيدا للمبادرات التي قامت بها الجماهيرية العربية الليبية بتوفيق من الله.

The meeting was held in order to complement the previous efforts and initiatives for the achievement of national reconciliation in Somalia and the maintenance of the country's independence, unity and territorial integrity and its return to the international fold, in particular the Djibouti peace initiative and the efforts of Yemen, and as a reaffirmation of the successful initiatives undertaken by the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya.

Dicha reunión tuvo por objeto completar anteriores esfuerzos e iniciativas dirigidos a lograr la reconciliación nacional en Somalia y a preservar su independencia, unidad nacional e integridad territorial, así como a devolver al país a los circuitos internacionales. La reunión se centró de forma especial en la iniciativa de paz de Djibouti y en los esfuerzos desplegados por el Yemen, y durante la misma se confirmó el éxito de las iniciativas emprendidas por la Jamahiriya Árabe Libia.

La réunion avait pour objet de donner suite à des efforts et à des initiatives, notamment l’initiative pacifique de Djibouti, les efforts du Yémen et les initiatives de la Jamahiriya arabe libyenne, visant à promouvoir la réconciliation nationale en Somalie, à préserver l’indépendance, la sécurité et l’intégrité territoriale du pays et à favoriser son retour sur la scène internationale.

Эта встреча была организована в развитие ранее предпринимавшихся усилий и инициатив, направленных на достижение национального примирения в Сомали, сохранение независимости, единства и территориальной целостности страны и ее возвращение в лоно международного сообщества, в частности мирной инициативы Джибути и усилий Йемена, а также в порядке подтверждения успешных инициатив, с которыми выступила Ливийская Арабская Джамахирия.
