ولذلك تعرب اللجنة عن جزعها البالغ إزاء الحادث الذي وقع مؤخرا في باكستان، حيث تعرضت مالالا يوسفزاي، وهي تلميذة في الرابعة عشرة من العمر، لهجوم وحشي ولإطلاق النار في المنطقة الحدودية الشمالية الغربية لباكستان بينما كانت تنادي بحق الفتيات في التعليم، وقد سلط هذا الحادث الضوء بشدة على الخطر البالغ الذي تواجهه بعض الفتيات عند المطالبة بهذا الحق الأساسي من حقوق الإنسان والتمتع به وفقا للمادتين 2 (أ) و 10 (ب) من الاتفاقية.

The Committee is therefore appalled by the recent incident in Pakistan where Malala Yousafzai, a 14-year-old schoolgirl, was brutally attacked and shot in the north-western frontier of Pakistan while calling for the right of girls to education, bringing into sharp focus the extreme danger that some girls face in claiming and enjoying this basic human right in keeping with articles 2 (a) and 10 (b) of the Convention.

Por consiguiente, el Comité está consternado por el reciente suceso ocurrido en el Pakistán, en el que Malala Yousafzai, una escolar de 14 años, fue brutalmente atacada y tiroteada en la frontera noroccidental del Pakistán mientras hacía un llamamiento a favor del derecho de las niñas a la educación, poniendo muy de manifiesto el peligro extremo al que se enfrentan algunas niñas al reclamar y ejercer este derecho humano básico de conformidad con los artículos 2 a) y 10 b) de la Convención.

Le Comité est donc horrifié par l’incident survenu récemment au Pakistan au cours duquel Malala Yousafzai, une écolière de 14 ans, a été sauvagement attaquée et blessée dans la région frontalière du nord-ouest du pays alors qu’elle plaidait pour le droit des filles à l’éducation; ce fait a nettement mis en lumière le danger fort grave que courent les filles qui revendiquent ce droit fondamental et en jouissent conformément aux articles 2 a) et 10 b) de la Convention.
