More specifically, Article 130 of the Decision provided that "the use of appellations of origin in connection with natural, agricultural, craft or industrial products originating in member countries shall be reserved exclusively for producers, manufacturers and craftsmen who have their production or manufacturing establishments in the locality or region of the member country that is designated in or evoked by the said appellation."

Ainsi l’article 130 dispose que "l’utilisation d’appellations d’origine pour les produits naturels, agricoles, artisanaux ou industriels provenant des pays membres est réservée exclusivement aux producteurs, fabricants et artisans qui ont leur établissement de production ou de fabrication dans la localité ou la région du pays membre désignée ou évoquée par une telle appellation".
