'

大祓詞 で は 、 川上 に い る 瀬織津 比売 神 に よ っ て 海 に 流 さ れ た 罪 ・ 穢 を 、 「 荒潮 の 潮 の 八百 道 の 八潮 道 の 潮 の 八百 会 に 坐 す 速 開 津 比売 ( は やあ き つ ひめ ) と 云 ふ 神 」 が 呑み込 ん で しま う と 記 さ れ て い る 。
