Among other things, the Supreme Court considered that “the protection from prosecution which the relevant provision (section 22 of the Municipalities Act) offers a town councillor does not extend to actions other than those specified in the statutory provision reproduced above (Supreme Court, 24 June 1983, Dutch Law Reports 1984, 801).
