The purpose of the paper is threefold: (1) to provide a strategic direction for future e-activities; (2) to provide an overview of the existing initiatives within each of the sectoral sub-programmes aimed at promoting the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) across the UNECE region; and (3) to review initiatives aimed at the use of new ICTs in increasing efficiency of the UNECE governance structure including enhancing the secretariat’s capacity to better serve and communicate with member States, to reach out to partners and the general public (e-UNECE governance).

L’objet du présent document est triple: 1) définir une orientation stratégique pour de futures cyberactivités de la CEE; 2) donner un aperçu des initiatives qui, au sein de chacun des sous‐programmes sectoriels, visent à promouvoir l’utilisation des technologies de l’information et de la communication (TIC) dans l’ensemble de la région de la CEE; et 3) examiner les initiatives visant à appliquer les nouvelles TIC en vue d’améliorer la gouvernance de la CEE et de rendre le secrétariat mieux à même de desservir les États membres, de communiquer efficacement avec ceux‐ci et de se rapprocher des partenaires et du grand public (cybergouvernance).

Настоящий документ преследует троякую цель: 1) определить стратегическую направленность будущей деятельности в области электронных технологий; 2) представить обзор существующих инициатив в рамках каждой из секторальных подпрограмм, направленных на поощрение использования информационно-коммуникационных технологий (ИКТ) в регионе ЕЭК ООН; 3) представить обзор инициатив, направленных на использование новых ИКТ для повышения эффективности структуры управления ЕЭК ООН, включая расширение возможностей секретариата более эффективно обслуживать государства-члены и взаимодействовать с ними, а также информировать своих партнеров и общественность в целом (электронное управление ЕЭК ООН).
