في عام 2004، استهلّت حكومة إيطاليا، من خلال معهد البوليتكنيك في تورينو ومعهد ماريو بويلاّ للدراسات العليا، وبالتعاون مع معهد غاليليو فيرّاريس الوطني للتقنيات الكهربائية، عرضا بتقديم زمالات دراسية مدة كل منها 12 شهرا للدراسات العليا عن الشبكات العالمية لسواتل الملاحة والتطبيقات المتصلة بها لصالح المتخصصين من البلدان النامية.

In 2004, the Government of Italy, through the Politecnico di Torino and the Istituto Superiore Mario Boella and with the collaboration of the Istituto Elettrotecnico Nazionale Galileo Ferraris, initiated an offer of 12-month fellowships for postgraduate study on GNSS and related applications for specialists from developing countries.
