Die postoperative prophylaktische Gabe von Isoptin setzt die Inzidenz von Vorhofflimmern/-flattern ebenfalls nicht herab, während die Verabreichung von Cordichin (Verapamil/Chinidinbase) eine statistisch signifikante Herabsetzung der genannten atrialen Arrhythmien bewirkt.

Preoperative ß-blocker treatment did not lead to lower incidence of A-Fib or A-Fl; the same was true for postoperative administration of verapamil alone, whereas A-Fib/A-Fl occurred in 5% of patients who were treated with Cordichin (verapamil/quinidine), as compared to 15% in those patients who did not receive the drug.
