For the purpose of preventing mental torture, article 4, paragraph 8, prohibits the police from revealing information concerning the personal life of a citizen and harm his honour and dignity or damage his legal interests, if this is not necessary to the case.

A los fines de impedir las torturas psicológicas, el párrafo 8 del artículo 4 prohíbe a la policía revelar información de carácter personal sobre el ciudadano cuando ello no sea necesario para el caso y evitar así dañar su honor, dignidad o intereses legales.

Aux fins d’empêcher toute torture mentale, l’article 4, paragraphe 8 de la même loi interdit à la police de révéler des informations relatives à la vie personnelle d’un citoyen et de porter ainsi atteinte à son honneur et à sa dignité, voire à ses intérêts légitimes si l’information n’est pas indispensable à la solution de l’affaire considérée.
