Die von dem Berichterstatter, Herrn Katiforis, hervorgehobene Notwendigkeit einer Einrichtung eines statistischen Dienstes auf wirklich europäischer Ebene und es nicht bei einer bloßen Koordinierung zu belassen und der Beitrag unseres Kollegen Herman, der davon sprach, daß es angebracht sei, die Kriterien in einigen Sektoren zu präzisieren, die im Rahmen der europäischen Wirtschaft immer größere Bedeutung erhalten haben, wie zum Beispiel die Dienstleistungssektoren und darunter die Finanzdienstleistungen, zeigen meiner Meinung nach die Notwendigkeit einer Vertiefung der europäischen Dimension und ihres statistischen Niederschlags sowie einer verbesserten Präzision.

Η αναγκαιότητα που σημείωσε ο εισηγητής κύριος Κατηφόρης του να εμβαθύνουμε σε μία υπηρεσία στατιστικής με επίπεδο αυθεντικά ευρωπαϊκό, και όχι μόνο συνεργασίας, έτσι όπως και η παρέμβαση του συναδέλφου Herman όταν σημείωνε την ανάγκη του να εκτιμήσουμε καλύτερα τα κριτήρια σε διάφορους τομείς που κάθε φορά είχαν περισσότερη σημασία στην ευρωπαϊκή οικονομία, όπως είναι οι τομείς των υπηρεσιών και μέσα σ' αυτούς οι χρηματοδοτικοί, πιστεύω ότι δείχνουν ότι είναι αναγκαίο να εμβαθύνουμε τόσο στην εφαρμογή της ευρωπαϊκής διάστασης και στην στατιστική έκφραση όσο και να βελτιώσουμε και την ακρίβειά μας.

I think there is a need to move further towards both a European approach to statistics, and improved accuracy. This is demonstrated by the comments of both the rapporteur, Mr Katiforis, and our colleague Mr Herman: first we need a truly European statistical service, not just a coordination service; and secondly, it would be useful to pinpoint more accurately what the criteria are in some sectors of the European economy which are becoming more important, such as the service sectors, especially the financial sectors.

La necesidad que ha apuntado el ponente Sr. Katiforis de profundizar en un servicio de estadística a nivel auténticamente europeo, no únicamente de coordinación, así como la intervención de nuestro colega Herman cuando apuntaba la conveniencia de precisar mejor los criterios en algunos sectores que cada vez han ido teniendo más importancia en la economía europea, como son los sectores de servicios y dentro de ellos los financieros, creo que demuestran que es necesario ir profundizando tanto en aplicar la dimensión europea y en su expresión estadística como en mejorar la precisión.

Katiforis, d'approfondissement en créant un service de statistiques à un niveau réellement européen non pas uniquement de coordination, ainsi que l'intervention de notre collègue Herman lorsqu'il mentionnait l'opportunité de mieux préciser les critères dans certains secteurs qui revêtent chaque jour davantage d'importance dans l'économie européenne tels que les secteurs des services dont les services financiers, démontrent qu'une amélioration de la précision des statistiques est nécessaire, car j'estime qu'il faut approfondir tant l'application de la dimension européenne que son expression statistique.

Ritengo che tanto l'esigenza evidenziata dal relatore, l'onorevole Katiforis, di approfondire i criteri in un servizio statistico ad un livello non soltanto di coordinamento ma autenticamente europeo, quanto l'intervento dell'onorevole Herman, che sottolineava la convenienza di definire meglio i criteri utilizzati in alcuni settori che rivestono una sempre maggiore importanza per l'economia europea, come i settori dei servizi e segnatamente quelli finanziari, dimostrino la necessità da un lato di approfondirne l'applicazione in una dimensione europea e dall'altro di curarne meglio la precisione statistica.

De noodzaak waarop de rapporteur, de heer Katiforis, wijst om serieus te werken aan de totstandkoming van een echt Europees bureau voor de statistiek, met meer dan alleen een coördinerende taak, en ook de suggestie van collega Herman om nadere criteria vast te stellen voor een aantal sectoren die van een steeds groter gewicht zijn in de Europese economie, zoals de dienstensector, en daarbinnen met name de financiële sector, tonen naar mijn mening aan dat er nadrukkelijk moet worden gewerkt aan het verder gestalte geven aan de Europese dimensie, en in de statistische uitdrukking daarvan, en aan het nader preciseren van criteria.

A necessidade referida pelo relator, o senhor deputado Katiforis, de desenvolver um serviço de estatística a nível verdadeiramente europeu, não exclusivamente de coordenação, bem como a intervenção do nosso colega Herman que apontava para a conveniência de definir melhor os critérios em alguns sectores que foram adquirindo uma importância cada vez maior na economia europeia, como seja o sector dos serviços, nomeadamente os serviços financeiros, penso que provam que é necessário desenvolver tanto uma dimensão europeia, no concernente aos serviços estatísticos, como um maior grau de precisão.
