وبهدف مساعدة الدائرة الابتدائية في كفالة أن يحصل المتهم على محاكمة عادلة وسريعة، وبغية مساعدة المتهم في دفاعه، طلبت الدائرة الابتدائية منذ بداية القضية تعيين أصدقاء للمحكمة ووافقت على طلب المتهم بتقديم مساعدة من ”معاونين قانونيين“ (وجميعهم محامين)، يقوم بالاتصال بهم.

In order to assist the Trial Chamber in ensuring that the accused receives a fair and expeditious trial and in order to aid the accused in his defence, the Trial Chamber from the beginning of the case had ordered the appointment of amici curiae and granted the accused’s request for the assistance of “legal associates” (all lawyers), with whom the accused enjoys privileged communications.

A fin de prestar asistencia a la Sala de Primera Instancia para asegurar de que el acusado sea sometido a un juicio justo y rápido y ayudar a éste en su defensa, desde el comienzo de la causa, la Sala de Primera Instancia ha dispuesto que se designen amici curiae y ha accedido a la solicitud del acusado de estar acompañado por “asociados legales” (todos ellos abogados), con los que el acusado puede mantener comunicaciones privilegiadas.
