The present invention provides a method for producing a compound represented by formula (1), or a salt thereof, the method comprising: step [I] of reacting an organoborane reagent with a compound represented by formula (2), or a salt thereof; and step [II] of inducing intramolecular cyclization in the reaction product of step [I] by using a zero-valency palladium catalyst in the presence of an alkali metal hydroxide.
