Nejsou povoleny jako látky a složky přípravků určených k použití jako nátěrové hmoty, kromě restaurování a údržby uměleckých děl a historických budov a jejich interiérů, pokud si členské státy přejí toto použití na svém území povolit, ale pouze v souladu s ustanoveními úmluvy Mezinárodní organizace práce č. 13 o použití olovnaté běloby v nátěrových hmotách.

► Member States shall prohibit, as from 1 January 2000 at the latest, the marketing of batteries and accumulators, containing more than 0,0005 % of mercury by weight, including in those cases where these batteries and accumulators are incorporated into appliances. Button cells and batteries composed of button cells with a mercury content of no more than 2 % by weight shall be exempted from this prohibition. ◄

Ei tohi kasutada värvina tarvitamiseks ette nähtud ainete ja valmististe koostisosana, välja arvatud kunstiteoste ning ajalooliste hoonete ja nende interjööri restaureerimiseks ja hoolduseks, kui liikmesriigid soovivad seda oma territooriumil lubada, vastavalt ILO konventsioonile nr 13 pliivalge pigmendi kasutamise kohta värvides.
