وفي هذا الصدد، أعرب بعض المجموعات عن معارضتها لما اعتبرته تعديا من مجلس الأمن على أعمال الجمعية، وشددت على أهمية تقديم التقارير من المجلس إلى الجمعية، فضلا عن الحاجة إلى تقديم المزيد من التقارير التحليلية والتقارير الخاصة التي تعنى بمواضيع معينة، واستشهدت على وجه التحديد بالقرار 58/126.

In that regard, some groups argued against what they perceived as encroachment by the Council on the work of the Assembly and stressed the importance of the Council’s reporting to the Assembly, as well as the need for more analytical reports and special subject-oriented reports, citing specifically resolution 58/126.
