Die Chefs der Auswärtigen Ämter der beiden Länder haben Meinungen zu diversen Aspekten des Zusammenwirkens in der arktischen Problematik ausgetauscht, sowie einige Fragen der Agenda der bevorstehenden G8-Sitzung auf der Außenministerebene erörtert, u.a. die Entwicklung um das iranische Nuklearprogramm sowie andere aktuelle internationale Probleme.

The heads of the foreign affairs agencies of the two countries exchanged views on certain aspects of interaction on Arctic problems, and also discussed a number of questions on the agenda of the upcoming G8 meeting at the level of ministers of foreign affairs, including the situation surrounding the Iranian nuclear program and other topical international problems.
