The Preamble to the Constitution recognizes the existence of the indigenous peoples and communities, their forms of social and political organization, their cultures, customs, languages and religion, as well as their habitat and rights over the lands they ancestrally occupy.

La CRBV, establece en su Preámbulo la existencia de los pueblos y comunidades indígenas y reconoce sus formas de organización social y política, sus culturas, costumbres, idiomas, religión, así como su hábitat y derechos sobre las tierras que ancestralmente han ocupado.
