The third exception (Article 24.6) is related to geographical indications of a WTO Member which are considered by another WTO Member to be a term customary in common language as the common name for goods or services or, where the geographical indication is used for products of the vine, it is identical with the customary name of a grape variety existing in the territory of that Member as of the date of entry into force of the TRIPS Agreement.

La troisième exception (article 24.6) s’applique lorsqu’une indication géographique d’un membre de l’OMC est considérée par un autre membre de l’OMC comme un terme usuel employé dans le langage courant comme nom commun de produits ou de services ou, si l’indication géographique est utilisée pour des produits de la vigne, lorsqu’elle est identique au nom usuel d’une variété de raisin existant sur le territoire de ce membre à la date d’entrée en vigueur de l’Accord sur les ADPIC.
