As a section leader at CERN’s superconducting magnet testing facility, SM-18, Bajko and her team of about 30 engineers and technicians test the giant magnets that operate at near-absolute zero (-273.15 degrees Celsius/-459.67 Fahrenheit) to achieve superconductivity (no electrical resistance).
