وتسليما بالدور المركزي لبرامج إعادة التأهيل والبرامج الإنمائية، تم التأكيد على توسيع دور برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي ومشاركته، بالإضافة إلى اليونيسيف وغير ذلك من الوكالات الإنمائية الأعضاء في فرقة العمل المشتركة بين الوكالات والمعنية بتشيرنوبل، كما تم التركيز أيضا على التعاون الوثيق مع البنك الدولي وغيره من الشركاء في مجال التنمية.

Recognizing the central role of rehabilitation and developmental programmes, emphasis was placed upon widening the role and involvement of UNDP, UNICEF and other developmental agencies members of the Inter-Agency Task Force on Chernobyl and on closer cooperation with the World Bank and other developmental partners.

Одновременно с признанием центральной роли программ восстановления и развития особое внимание было обращено на необходимость расширения роли и участия ПРООН, ЮНИСЕФ и других занимающихся вопросами развития учреждений — членов Межучрежденческой целевой группы по Чернобылю и более тесного сотрудничества со Всемирным банком и другими партнерами в области развития.
