The method is confined to illuminating of the investigated body with infrared radiation (2, 3) of 0.6-1.5 um wavelength range and simultaneous scanning of the investigated organ volume with a focal spot (5) of a focused beam (4) of an amplitude modulated ultrasound wave, at least one of the parameters appearing under these conditions modulate the intensity of the transmitted and/or backscattered infrared radiation (9, 10) being recorded.

Le procédé consiste à soumettre le corps à examiner à un rayonnement infrarouge (2, 3) dont la longueur d'onde est comprise entre 0,6 et 1,5 um, et simultanément à balayer le volume de l'organe à examiner de la tache focale (5) d'un faisceau focalisé (4) d'une onde ultrasonore modulée en amplitude. L'un au moins des paramètres apparaissant dans ces conditions module l'intensité du rayonnement infrarouge émis et/ou rétrodiffusé (9, 10) que l'on enregistre.
