ولا يمكن أن يُنكر أن السلطات البلدية لهذه المدينة قامت بذلك ربما بسبب وجود مصدر حقيقي للقلق، أو أنه كان من الممكن لها أن تتخذ إجراءً معقولاً للقضاء على الضوضاء والمنظر البشع لهاتين العمارتين اللتين كانتا تشكلان مصدر إزعاج للأحياء المجاورة غير الغجرية، لكن اقتراح بناء حائط لفصل وعزل الطائفتين كان مقلقاً جداً لأنه كان يمثل إهانة لكرامة الإنسان وانتهاكاً واضحاً لمبدأ المساواة بين الناس أمام القانون

Whilst it cannot be denied that the municipal authorities of that town might have had some genuine cause for concern or could have taken reasonable action to eliminate the noise and visual pollution coming from the two blocks of flats which were a source of inconvenience to the non-Roma neighbourhood, the proposal to build a wall to separate and segregate the two communities was most disquieting since it amounted to an affront to human dignity and was a clear breach of the principle of equality of individuals before the law

Aunque no puede negarse que las autoridades municipales de la localidad pudieran tener algún motivo de preocupación legítima o también que podrían haber tomado medidas razonables para eliminar los ruidos y la contaminación visual ocasionados por los dos bloques de apartamentos que incomodaban al barrio no romaní, la propuesta de levantar un muro para separar y segregar a las dos comunidades fue sumamente inquietante, puesto que suponía una afrenta a la dignidad humana y vulneraba claramente el principio de la igualdad de las personas ante la ley

Il est possible que les autorités municipales de cette ville aient été réellement préoccupées ou qu'elles aient pris des mesures raisonnables pour mettre fin aux nuisances sonores et visuelles causées par les deux immeubles qui incommodaient le voisinage non rom, il n'en demeure pas moins que la proposition de construire un mur pour séparer et diviser les deux communautés était des plus inquiétantes, parce qu'elle constituait une atteinte à la dignité de l'homme et une violation indéniable du principe de l'égalité des individus devant la loi

Хотя нельзя отрицать того, что муниципальные власти этого города, вполне вероятно, имели реальные основания для беспокойства или что они пытались отгородиться от двух многоквартирных домов, являвшихся источником шума и представлявших собой неприглядное зрелище к неудовольствию местных жителей с соседней улицы, предложение построить стену, с тем чтобы отделить и изолировать две общины, вызвало большую тревогу, поскольку его можно приравнять к оскорблению человеческого достоинства и явному нарушению принципа равенства всех людей перед законом
