If a foreigner intends to enter into a marriage, in addition to the documents listed in Article 54, the Act requires in principle submitting a document stating that in accordance with the law of the country of citizenship he/she has the legal ability to enter into a marriage (Article 56 of the Law on Civil Status Records).

La Ley exige, en principio, que si un extranjero tiene la intención de contraer matrimonio, debe presentar, además de los documentos que figuran en el artículo 54, un documento en que se establezca que, de conformidad con la legislación del país del que es nacional, tiene la capacidad jurídica para contraer matrimonio (artículo 56 de la Ley de registro del estado civil).

Cette loi prévoit que les étrangers souhaitant contracter mariage doivent présenter, en principe, outre les documents énumérés à l’article 54, un document attestant qu’en vertu de la législation en vigueur dans le pays dont ils sont ressortissants, ils ont la capacité juridique de se marier (art. 56).

Если иностранец намерен вступить в брак, то, согласно Кодексу, иностранец в принципе должен представить не только документы, перечисленные в статье 54, но и документ, удостоверяющий, что в соответствии с законодательством страны, гражданином которой является данный иностранец, он/она имеет законное право вступить в брак (статья 56 Кодекса законов об актах гражданского состояния).
