The present invention relates to a thin-film solar cell and to a solar cell which: allows the direct incidence of sunlight on a light absorption layer without any barrier by forming a buffer layer, a transparent electrode, and a grid electrode on a CIGS lower surface, rather than forming the buffer layer and transparent electrode on the upper part of the light absorption layer as in the conventional case of producing such a cell by forming the buffer layer, transparent electrode, and grid electrode on the upper part of the light absorption layer; and is capable of reducing the distance to the electrode or buffer layer travelled by an electron and a hole, which are generated as a result of light energy absorption, by patterning a first electrode and the buffer layer to be saw-toothed and engaged with each other.

본 발명은 박막 태양전지에 관한 것으로, 종래 광흡수층 상부에 버퍼층, 투명전극, 그리드 전극을 형성하여 제조하던 것을 광흡수층 상부에는 버퍼층, 투명전극을 형성하지 않고, 버퍼층, 투명전극, 그리드 전극을 CIGS 하부면에 형성함으로써 태양광이 장애물 없이 직접 광흡수층으로 입사하도록 하고, 또한 제 1 전극과 버퍼층을 톱니구조로 서로 맞물리는 형상으로 패터닝하여 빛에너지를 흡수하여 발생하게 되는 전자-정공이 전극 또는 버퍼층으로 이동하게 되는 거리를 단축할 수 있게 하는 태양전지에 관한 것이다.
