Section 39 of the said law provides that the IAS shall conduct, motu propio, automatic investigation of incidents where death, serious physical injury, or any violation of human rights occurred in the conduct of a police operation, and incidents where a suspect in the custody of the police was seriously injured.

El artículo 39 de esa ley prevé que el Servicio investigará automáticamente, motu proprio, los incidentes en los que se hayan producido muertes, lesiones físicas graves o cualquier violación de los derechos humanos en el transcurso de una operación policial y los incidentes de lesiones graves de todo sospechoso detenido por la policía.

Статья 39 указанного закона предусматривает, что СВК проводит по собственной инициативе автоматическое расследование инцидентов, связанных со смертью, серьезными телесными повреждениями или любыми нарушениями прав человека, имевшими место при проведении операций полиции, и инцидентов, связанных с причинением серьезных телесных повреждений подозреваемому лицу, находящемуся под стражей в полиции.
