Mae rownd gyntaf y cau eisoes yn mynd drwy'r broses ymgynghori a ddaw i ben ar 10 Rhagfyr, gyda'r bwriad o gau'r swyddfeydd post hynny ddiwedd Ionawr 2008. Bydd y rownd ymgynghori nesaf, yng Nghasnewydd ac yng nghymoedd Gwent, yn dechrau ar 15 Ionawr 2008, gyda'r bwriad o gau'r rheini ddiwedd Ebrill 2008. Yn y canolbarth, caeir swyddfeydd erbyn diwedd Mehefin 2008; caeir swyddfeydd yn y de a'r gorllewin erbyn diwedd Awst 2008 a'r rheini yn y gogledd erbyn diwedd Hydref 2008. Dyna'r rhaglen y mae'r Llywodraeth wedi'i gosod ar gyfer Swyddfa'r Post yng Nghymru.

The first round of closures is already under consultation, which closes on 10 December, with the closures of those post offices planned for the end of January 2008. The next round of consultation, in Newport and the Gwent valleys, opens on 15 January 2008, with the closures planned for the end of April 2008. In central Wales, closures will take place by the end of June 2008; closures in south and west Wales will take place by the end of August 2008; and those in north Wales will take place by the end of October 2008. That is the programme that the Government has set the Post Office to follow in Wales.
