The project will also aim at formulating a new general theory of island biogeography that will be closer to empirical observations and will allow a better appreciation of the heritage value of biodiversity in insular environments (« true » islands, mountains, lakes,...).

Ce projet a vocation à faire émerger une nouvelle théorie générale de la biogéographie insulaire, qui soit plus en phase avec les observations et permette de mieux apprécier la valeur patrimoniale de la biodiversité dans les contextes insulaires (îles vraies, montagnes, lacs,...).
