The inauguration is scheduled to take place in June 2020 following the grand exhibition “Jan van Eyck and the Burgundian Court” to be held in the Museum of Fine Arts in Ghent and the Visitors’ Centre will highlight the multiple messages conveyed by the polyptych, including an explanation of its religious significance and art-historical value.

De feestelijke opening is gepland in mei 2020 wanneer ook de grote tentoonstelling “Jan van Eyck en het hof van de Bourgondische hertogen” loopt in het Museum voor Schone Kunsten van Gent. Het bezoekerscentrum neemt de vele boodschappen vervat in de polyptiek onder de loep en geeft uitleg over de religieuze betekenis en kunsthistorische waarde.
