(1) Any person (a) from whom a thing is seized under section 237 or 239, (b) who owns a thing that is seized under section 237 or 239, (c) from whom any security is received under section 244 in respect of a thing seized under this Act, or (d) on whom a notice is served or sent under section 232, may, within 30 days after the date of the seizure or the service or sending of the notice, request a decision of the Minister under section 252 by giving notice in writing to the officer who seized the thing, sent or served the notice, or to an officer closest to the place where the seizure took place or the notice was sent or served.

(1) Les personnes suivantes peuvent, dans les 30 jours suivant la saisie d’une chose en vertu des articles 237 ou 239 ou la signification ou l’envoi de l’avis prévu à l’article 232, en s’adressant par écrit au préposé qui a effectué la saisie ou a envoyé ou signifié ou fait envoyer ou signifier l’avis, ou au préposé le plus proche du lieu où la chose a été saisie ou l’avis envoyé ou signifié, présenter une demande en vue de faire rendre au ministre la décision prévue à l’article 252 : a) la personne entre les mains de qui la chose a été saisie;
