The latter was a fundamental objective for La Pira, not only for the history of Europe but for the beginning of a new approach to international relations: “the whole of Europe from the Atlantic to the Urals becomes Archimedes’s lever that will move the whole world upwards towards the mount of unity and justice ... this is where we begin to overcome blocks and, together with disarmament, it will reach all continents; this is where the tide of negotiation and peace begins that will reach the peoples of all the earth!...” (speech to the FMCU Congress Sofia)

Esta última supone un logro fundamental para La Pira, no solo en lo que respecta a la historia de Europa sino por la introducción de una nueva modalidad en las relaciones internacionales: «toda Europa, desde el Atlántico hasta los Urales, se convierte en la palanca de Arquímedes destinada a elevar al mundo entero hacia el monte de la unidad y la justicia... desde aquí la superación de los bloqueos y el desarme se extenderá a todos los continentes; ¡desde aquí la ola de las negociaciones y de la paz alcanzará a los pueblos de toda la tierra! ...» (discurso en el congreso de la FMCU en Sofía).
