Almost two thirds of its area belongs to the Los Alcornocales Natural Park , where the large majority of the landscape is characterised by the species which gives it its name: groups of large, leafy cork oaks (Quercus suber) which occupy the mountain ranges in addition to the Portuguese and Algerian oaks (Quercus faginea y Quercus canariensis), olives (Olea europaea), strawberry trees, (Arbutus unedo), heaths (Erica arborea), oleanders (Nerium oleander) and alders (Alnus glutinosa).

Casi dos terceras partes de su término pertenecen al Parque Natural de los Alcornocales , donde lo más relevante del paisaje lo constituye la especie que le da nombre, que se agrupa en grandes y frondosos alcornocales (Quercus suber) que pueblan las sierras, junto con quejigos (Quercus faginea y Quercus canariensis), acebuches (Olea europaea), madroños (Arbutus unedo), brezos (Erica arborea), adelfas (Nerium oleander) y alisos (Alnus glutinosa).
