(8) Defined as all telecommunications and other electronic information services and equipment for the provision of such services, as they exist on the date of this agreement or hereafter exist, including (but not limited to) all forms of telecommunication access and egress; and value-added consumer and business services generated through or as a result of underlying telecommunications services using all technology (voice, data and image) and physical transport, network intelligence, and software applications, and including (i) information processing, (ii) systems integration and outsourcing, (iii) transaction processing and (iv) cable television.

(8) Par « activité principale », on entend tous les services de télécommunications et les autres services électroniques de l'information ainsi que l'équipement nécessaire à la prestation de ces services tels qu'ils existent à la date de l'accord ou existeront après cette date, notamment (mais pas exclusivement) toutes les formes d'accès et de sortie en télétraitement, les services à valeur ajoutée destinés aux particuliers ou à l'industrie, générés ou créés par des services de télécommunications de base utilisant toutes les formes de transport physique et technologies possibles (voie, données et images), l'intelligence du réseau, et les applications logicielles, notamment: i) le traitement des informations; ii) l'intégration des systèmes et la sous-traitance; iii) le traitement des transactions et iv) la télévision câblée.

(8) Por actividade principal, entende-se todos os serviços de telecomunicações e os outros serviços de informação electrónica bem como o equipamento necessário à prestação desses serviços, tal como existem à data do acordo ou definidos posteriormente, incluindo (de forma não exaustiva) todas as formas de acesso a telecomunicações e de saída destas, os serviços de valor acrescentado destinados aos particulares ou às empresas, criados por serviços de telecomunicações de base que utilizam qualquer tipo de transporte físico e de transporte tecnológico (voz, dados e imagem), inteligência de rede e as aplicações informáticas, nomeadamente, i) o tratamento da informação, ii) a integração dos sistemas e serviços externos, iii) o tratamento das transacções e iv) a televisão por cabo.
