This economic expansion will be supported by: (i) increasing domestic demand, owing to better employment at the above full-employment level, which brought the unemployment rate to its lowest level in 48 years at 3.6 percent in September, and an implementation of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, where individual and corporate income taxes have been reduced; and (ii) higher government investment and consumption, due to the ongoing infrastructure investment projects and a greater government budget deficit framework, compared with that of the previous year.

เศรษฐกิจสหรัฐฯ คาดว่าจะขยายตัวร้อยละ 2.6 สูงกว่าศักยภาพการขยายตัวทางเศรษฐกิจอย่างต่อเนื่อง ตามการขยายตัวของอุปสงค์ในประเทศ ทั้งในด้านการใช้จ่ายภาคครัวเรือนที่มีปัจจัยสนับสนุนจากการปรับตัวดีขึ้นของการจ้างงานที่อยู่ในระดับสูงกว่าการจ้างงานเต็มที่ และส่งผลให้อัตราการว่างงานล่าสุดในเดือนกันยายนอยู่ที่ร้อยละ 3.6 ต่ําสุดในรอบ 48 ปี และแรงสนับสนุนจากมาตรการปรับลดภาษีเงินได้บุคคลธรรมดาและนิติบุคคล และในด้านการใช้จ่ายและการลงทุนภาครัฐที่มีปัจจัยสนับสนุนจากการดําเนินโครงการลงทุนโครงสร้างพื้นฐานและกรอบการขาดดุลงบประมาณที่เพิ่มสูงขึ้นจากปีก่อนหน้า
