وتنص الفقرة 2 من المادة 150 من دستور جمهورية موزامبيق على أن الرئيس المنتخب يعلن القسم التالي: (أقسم بشرفي أن أحترم الدستور وأن اضطلع بأمانة بمهام رئاسة جمهورية موزامبيق وأن أكرس كل ما لدي من طاقات للدفاع عن مبادئ الوحدة الوطنية وحقوق الإنسان والديمقراطية ورفاه شعب موزامبيق وتعزيزها وتوطيدها وتحقيق العدالة لجميع المواطنين).

CRM paragraph 2 of Article 150 states that the elected President declares the following oath: "I swear on my honour, to respect the Constitution, to faithfully carry out the Office of the President of the Republic of Mozambique, to dedicate all my energies to the defence, promotion of the consolidation of national unity, human rights, democracy and the welfare of the people of Mozambique and doing justice to all citizens.”

En el párrafo 2 del artículo 150 de la Constitución se recoge el juramento que presta el Presidente electo: "Juro por mi honor respetar la Constitución, desempeñar con fidelidad el cargo de Presidente de la República de Mozambique, dedicar todas mis energías a la defensa, promoción y consolidación de la unidad nacional, de los derechos humanos, de la democracia y del bienestar del pueblo de Mozambique y hacer justicia a todos los ciudadanos".
