Dieser obliegt es, abgesehen von der Zuständigkeit der Kongregation für die Glaubenslehre,[81] die Liturgie, deren wesentlicher Teil die Sakramente sind, zu ordnen und zu fördern, indem sie pastoral-liturgische Aktivitäten ermutigt,[82] die verschiedenen Gremien unterstützt, die sich dem liturgischen Apostolat, der Musik, dem Gesang sowie der sakralen Kunst widmen,[83] und über die Sakramentenordnung wacht.[

Always taking into account the area of competence of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (81) it pertains to this Congregation to regulate and promote the Liturgy of which the Sacraments are the essential part, by encouraging pastoral liturgical activities, (82) supporting the various Organisms devoted to the liturgical apostolate, music, song and sacred art, (83) and keeping watch over sacramental discipline.

Corresponde, por tanto, a ésta —salva la competencia de la Congregación para la Doctrina de la Fe [81] — regular y promover la Liturgia, cuya parte esencial son los sacramentos, alentando la actividad pastoral litúrgica [82], sosteniendo los diversos Organismos que se ocupan del Apostolado litúrgico, la música, el canto y el arte sacro [83], y vigilando la disciplina sacramental [84].
