Voor het herdenken van de krijgsgevangenen die tijdens de Nazitijd tussen 1939 en 1942 bij de bouw van de Reichsautobahn ingezet werden, werd op 27 januari 2013 op de Dag ter herdenking aan de slachtoffers van het Nationaalsocialisme (zelfde dag als de bevrijding van concentratiekamp Auschwitz, 1945) een gedenkteken bij de snelwegkerk St. Paul bij Wittlich ingewijd.
