The amount of health insurance contributions is calculated based on the social minimum wage. The CCSS will send the student a letter of enrolment providing information on the start of coverage and the monthly contribution amount. Resident students (co-insured or personally enrolled) will automatically receive a social security card, which proves their entitlement to health insurance benefits.
