An ethnicity pilot project had been launched to determine the feasibility of gathering ethnicity data as a routine feature of health information systems, and a study had been commissioned by the Department of Health and Children and the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety of Northern Ireland, in consultation with Traveller organizations, on the health status of Travellers.
