The obligations resulting from this article of the Convention have also been incorporated into the act on cash benefits to compensate severe disability,6 in particular through the provision of an allowance for personal assistance (in the form of sign language interpreting, oral interpreting, tactile interpreting, communication mediation for people with hearing impairments and deaf-blind people and reading for the blind) and also through the provision of a cash allowance for transport, a cash allowance for the acquisition of aids, a cash allowance for the purchase of a car, a cash allowance to compensate for increased expenditure to operate a car, a cash allowance for the purchase of lifting equipment, a cash allowance for the modification of a flat, a cash allowance for the modification of a family house and cash allowance for the modification of a garage.
