The Ministry of Health has allocated funds for the purchase of antiretroviral drugs in order to ensure that adults, adolescents and children receive care. It currently covers 93 per cent of total demand, the rest being paid out of external funds (300 first-line treatments and 17 second-line treatments). The cost of cluster of differentiation (CD) 4 testing is 60 per cent covered by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and 40 per cent by the State, while viral load testing is entirely funded by the Global Fund. Opportunistic infections are fully treated.

La SESAL para asegurar la disponibilidad de Antirretrovirales y la atención en Adultos, adolescentes, niños y niñas ha destinado fondos para su compra, que actualmente representa el 93% del total de la necesidad, el resto son comprados por fondos externos (300 tratamientos de primera línea y 17 tratamientos de segunda línea); con respecto a la Prueba de CD4 comprados en un 60% por el Fondo Mundial y el Estado compra el40%; la Prueba de Carga Viral es comprada en el 100% por el Fondo Mundial; para el tratamiento de Infecciones Oportunistas en su totalidad.
