The following paper describes the principle, the construction, and method of operation of a new type of instrument for determining the ship's position by automatic dead reckoning which, controlled by a repeater compass and a distance recorder, plots the track covered by the vessel.

Le traité suivant décrit le principe, la construction et l'opération d'un type nouveau d'appareil à fixer la position d'un bâtiment.
