وفي هذا الصدد، فإن مجلس الجامعة المنعقد على مستوى وزراء الخارجية في دورته العادية 123 في شهر آذار/مارس 2005، نظر في موضوع اعتماد فريق خبراء عرب مكلف بمتابعة تنفيذ القرار 1373 كآلية عربية لمكافحة الإرهاب، مع ما يتضمن ذلك من تغيير التسمية إلى ”فريق الخبراء العرب المعني بمكافحة الإرهاب“ يضم في عضويته جميع الدول العربية، وحيث يرفع تقاريره وتوصياته إلى مجلس الجامعة.

In this regard, the Council of the League, at the ministerial level, at its 125th regular session held in March 2005, took up the subject of establishing an Arab expert group charged with following up the implementation of resolution 1373 (2001) as an Arab counter-terrorism mechanism, including changing its name to the Arab Group of Experts on Counter-Terrorism, which would include all Arab States in its membership and whose reports and recommendations would be submitted to the Council of the League.

En el 123° período ordinario de sesiones del Consejo, celebrado en marzo de 2005 a nivel de ministros de Relaciones Exteriores, se examinó la cuestión de la designación de un grupo de expertos árabes encargado de vigilar la aplicación de la resolución 1373 (2001) como mecanismo árabe de lucha contra el terrorismo. Este grupo, que se denominará “grupo de expertos árabes encargado de la lucha contra el terrorismo” y en el que estarán representados todos los países árabes, rendirá informes y formulará recomendaciones al Consejo de la Liga.
