(১) অধিদপ্তর বাংলাদেশের আবহাওয়া সেবা সংক্রান্ত ঘটনাবলি ও এতদ্সংক্রান্ত কার্যক্রম পরিচালনার জন্য সরকারিভাবে এখতিয়ারসম্পন্ন একমাত্র নির্ভরযোগ্য সংস্থা হিসাবে দায়িত্ব পালন করবে।

The Department shall, in discharging its duties, act as the only reliable organization of the Government having jurisdiction to conduct events related to meteorological services of Bangladesh and activities related thereto.
