The conclusion from this is that even though active participation by many faithful is of its very nature particularly fitting when Mass is celebrated, still there is no reason to criticize but rather only to approve a Mass that a priest celebrates privately for a good reason in accordance with the regulations and legitimate traditions of the Church, even when only a server to make the responses is present. For such a Mass brings a rich and abundant treasure of special graces to help the priest himself, the faithful, the whole Church and the whole world toward salvation—and this same abundance of graces is not gained through mere reception of Holy Communion.

De donde se sigue que, si bien a la celebración de la misa conviene en gran manera, por su misma naturaleza, que un gran número de fieles tome parte activa en ella, no hay que desaprobar, sino antes bien aprobar, la misa celebrada privadamente, según las prescripciones y tradiciones de la Iglesia, por un sacerdote con sólo el ministro que le ayuda y le responde; porque de esta misa se deriva gran abundancia de gracias especiales para provecho ya del mismo sacerdote, ya del pueblo fiel y de otra la Iglesia, y aun de todo el mundo: gracias que no se obtienen en igual abundancia con la sola comunión.

Donde se conclui: se muito convém que à celebração da Missa, quase por sua natureza, participe ativamente grande número de fiéis, não se deve condenar, mas sim aprovar, a Missa que um sacerdote, por justa causa e segundo as prescrições e tradições legítimas da Santa Igreja, reza privadamente, embora haja apenas um acólito para ajudar e responder; de tal Missa deriva grande abundância de graças particulares, para bem tanto do sacerdote, como do povo fiel e de toda a Igreja, e mesmo do mundo inteiro; graças estas, que não se obtêm em igual medida só por meio da sagrada Comunhão.
