Venezuela is at the centre of these media attacks, carried out mainly by private media companies who are trying to impose a genuine dictatorship – in the words of writer and historian Luis Britto -, hoping to undermine laws passed by the Bolivarian government and refusing to accept the rulings of the courts in an act of clear defiance against the will of the people.
