With this new things and with the ones that were there before -and with some exception like the not very inspired “Attrition” -even if it is a good song, but not as good as the others-, we have a recording worthy of its creators: a powerful beginning called “Been Away Too Long” and a handful of tracks which we expect from them like “By Crooked Steps”, “A Thousand Days Before” (owing to “Superunknown”), “Worse Dreams” (owing to all their previous albums) or the fantastic, “Bones Of Birds”, which begins with the shivery appearance of Layne Stanley's ghost.There's also place for a positive surprise like “Taree” and reminiscences to other Seattle acts -”Black Saturday” - and a deserving ending with a freestyle exercise called “Rowing”.

Con esto, con lo de siempre y con lo de atrás, y a excepción de alguna incursión no muy inspirada como Attrition (no porque el tema sea malo, sino porque queda un poco flojo en comparación con el resto), tenemos un disco a la altura de sus creadores: un comienzo potente cuyo título es una declaración de principios que tiene mucho de “Superunknown”), “Worse Dreams” que tiene mucho de todas sus épocas, o la estupenda “Bones Of Birds”, en cuyo comienzo se manifiesta de manera estremecedora el fantasma de Layne Stanely. Hay también una sorpresa positiva como “Taree”, guiños a otras bandas de la escena de Seattle -“Black Saturday”- y un dignísimo cierre del disco con un ejercicio de “freestyle” titulado “Rowing”.
