The President of the Athletes Commission must have competed at a Pan American Games and/or an Olympic Games in a sport on the program of the Olympic Games at the time of his or her election as President, and he or she must be elected to the PASO Athletes Commission at a Pan American Games and elected to be President of the Commission in accordance with regulations in that regard established by the PASO Executive Committee.
