2100 and 2000 Ma ago. Syn- to late-kinematic, early Proterozoic granite to granodiorite batholiths, which intruded metasedimentary rocks of the Great Island Group, may largely be the product of melting of Archean basement, based on field evidence and high initial 87Sr/86Sr ratios.

Les indices de terrain et les rapports initiaux élevés de 87Sr/86Sr des batholites, de composition granite à granodiorite, syn- à postcinématiques, d'âge protérozoïque hâtif, qui recoupent les roches métasédimentaires du Groupe de Great Island, suggèrent qu'ils résultent en majeure partie de la fusion du socle archéen.
