Dr. Adrián Abstract Among the processes that make up the oral and maxillofacial pathology, one the most complex is the radiolucent lesions of the jaws and perhaps the most important is the one referred to jaw cysts, being periapical cyst was the most frequent but not the only one who can identified as a radiolucent lesion, difficulties in establishing clinical and radiographic interpretation of these conditions as resemble one another some of them.

Entre los procesos que integran la patología oral y maxilofacial, uno de los más complejos es el de las lesiones radiolúcidas de los maxilares y quizás el más importante sea el referido a los quistes maxilares; siendo el quiste periapical el más frecuente pero no el único que pueda identificarse como una lesión radiolúcida, estableciendo dificultades en la interpretación clínica y radiográfica de estas afecciones con gran semejanza entre sí en algunas de ellas.
