وفيما يتعلق بالاحتياجات الأمنية الإضافية التي لا صلة لها بمشروع النظام الموحد لمراقبة الدخول، أوصت اللجنة الاستشارية بالموافقة على الموارد المقترحة لزيادة قدرة فريق الحماية المباشرة في مكتب منسق الأمم المتحدة الخاص لعملية السلام بالشرق الأوسط، وكذلك الموارد المخصصة لتعزيز الأمن في مراكز الأمم المتحدة للإعلام.

With regard to additional security requirements unrelated to the PACT projects, the Advisory Committee recommended approval of the resources proposed to augment the capacity of the close protection team at the Office of the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, as well as the resources intended to provide for strengthened security at United Nations information centres.
