Thermal analysis and X-ray diffraction studies showed that the solid is stable up to 580oC. At higher temperatures the Libetinita decomposes in Cu4O(PO4)2 and water.

Los análisis termogravimétrico y de difracción de rayos X, mostraron que el sólido es estable hasta los 580 oC, temperatura en la cual hay cambios significativos en la estructura descomponiéndose en Cu4O(PO4)2 y agua.
